We've just been through this very issue & found the only way to get a VPN connection was to setup a manual PPTP VPN. The Mobilke VPN software will not work on Win 8 & Watchguard haven't release a WIN 8 compatable version. There is a 3rd party IPSEC connector that they recommend.
We ended up replaced our old x700 firewalls with XTM515s, which have an SSL VPN connector for Win 8 machines & will support the old IPSEC Mobile VPN software so you can avoid upgrading all your clients to the SSL software.
